Once you have your hotel and dining reservations all set, it's time to start thinking about FastPass+ reservations. FastPass+ is a way to reserve your spot on some of the most popular rides and attractions so you can avoid the lines. You won't realistically be able to do many of the most popular Disney attractions without having a FastPass+ reservation- unless you're ok with waiting on a four hour line!

Please note that Disney has announced that Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge WILL NOT be offering FastPass+ upon opening of the land. This may change by October, but due to high crowds, FastPass+ will not be available for this land until further notice. We will keep you posted if this changes, but for now, please be aware that if you wish to experience Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run during your time there, the best strategy (for now) is to get to Hollywood Studios BEFORE park opening to get in line.

FastPass+ will still be available for Walt Disney World's other most popular rides, however. To make your FastPass+ reservations, you will first need to purchase your theme park tickets. Please refer to our page Disney Theme Parks for information on the four parks that Disney has to offer and their many attractions to decide what kind of theme park ticket might be right for you. As FastPasses get snatched up quickly and you need a theme park ticket in order to get FastPasses, we recommend purchasing your theme park ticket in advance of your FastPass booking window. For Walt Disney World Resort hotel guests, this means purchasing your theme park tickets no later than two months prior to your arrival date, as you are able to make FastPass+ reservations for your entire length of stay up to sixty days prior to the day you check into your resort. For non-Disney hotel guests, we recommend purchasing your theme park ticket no later than one month in advance of your desired theme park visit, as you're able to make FastPass+ reservations thirty days prior to the day of your visit.

But please don't try to purchase your theme park tickets the day your FastPass booking windows open! If you can make FastPasses sixty days prior to your check in date, buy your ticket sixty-one days prior to your check in date at the latest, but preferably earlier! FastPasses are no joke to Disney fans, and many will be online at 7 AM Eastern time the day their booking window opens to get the best ones! Therefore, it is essential to do the same if you want to ride on E-Ticket attractions such as Slinky Dog Dash in Hollywood Studios, Pandora Flight of Passage in Animal Kingdom, Frozen Ever After at Epcot, or Seven Dwarves Mine Train at Magic Kingdom. But be sure to manage your expectations! You probably won't be able to get ALL the FastPasses you desire for your trip, especially considering you are limited to three FastPasses at each park. But the best part about FastPasses is that no matter how late you book them, you're at least guaranteed little wait time for a few rides during your visit.

To book your FastPasses, simply log on to My Disney Experience, choose Get FastPass+, and choose who will be in your party, the date you're visiting the theme park, what theme park you're visiting, what attraction you want, and your desired ride time.

Once you are in the theme park on the day of your FastPass+ selections, simply head over to your chosen attraction at the designated ride time window, scan your Magic Band or theme park ticket, and you will be directed to an express line for that attraction with very little wait time.

Once you have used your three FastPass+ selections for the day at the park, simply log into your app on your phone to select another one based on availability. Once you use that one, you can select another, and so on. You can also modify your FastPass+ selections at home or on the go in the park using your app, again, based on availability.
